Higher Ground Church is a growing fellowship north of Nashville in White House, TN. Our desire is to walk in the footsteps of Jesus and those who followed him first and live out God’s word together.
Our purpose is to come to know God our Creator more deeply and to follow Jesus, his Messiah, our Lord and Savior. To truly know the Father as the only true God, and Jesus as the Christ, is eternal life:
Jesus prayed to his Father, “And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” (John 17:3).
We seek to follow Jesus’ words when he declared the two greatest commandments: First, that there is only one who is truly God and we must love him with all our hearts. Second, that we must love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:28-32).
Our mission at HGC is to share the message of the kingdom of God and the grace of God which is through Jesus alone:
Jesus told his disciples, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
