THE ONE IN DEFENSE OF GOD
by J. Dan Gill
From atheism and agnosticism to Trinitarian Christianity which itself is not rooted in the simple faith of the one true God of the Bible – J. Dan Gill meets all of these candidly and head on. He asks, “Why do most Christian not even know the Shema – the amazing biblical creed about God which was given by Moses, affirmed by Jesus and is spoken in synagogues to this day:’ J. Dan challenges Christians to by-pass centuries of their own religious traditions and discover anew the God of Jesus.
by Joel Hemphill
Paul preached God and (in addition to) Jesus! Thirteen of Paul’s epistles begin “Peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” These verses make no mention of a third person, but they do make a very obvious distinction between God and Jesus. There are over 760 such New Testament passages that make this distinction clearly. They are written in this book in the order in which they appear in Holy Scripture.
by Dr. Joe Martin
This is a book from thirty years of teaching theology and the attempt to present the simplicity of the Bible concerning our Creator. The great “shema,” or “Hear…” from Deuteronomy 6:4, confirmed by Jesus in Mark 12 : 29, 30 is the foundation of this simplicity. The four words to listen to are, YHWH Elohenu YHWH Echad, The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Since Jesus confirms this, why are so many confused, by confusing Jesus with YHWH? The simplicity of Jesus is found in his rebuttal of those who thought he was trying to be equal with God. His statement from John 10:36 is, “I said, ‘I am the Son of God.'” In Greek, four simple words, Uios tou theou eimi.
